Bat Recorder Service and Repair Centre

Here at Wildcare, we value our clients as much as you value yours, and we understand how important it is to make sure your bat detector units are in top working order for the start of the 2018 season.

BCT Survey Guidelines and Wildlife Acoustics recommend servicing and testing your equipment annually. If you are planning to have your bat recorders serviced for the start of the 2018 bat season please note we become very busy from March onwards.

Wildcare are proud to be the European Warranty Centre and the only authorised service and repair centre in Europe for Wildlife Acoustics’ range of bioacoustics monitoring products. We can also service: Pettersson, Batbox Duet, Clulite torches, Dataloggers, Anabat SD1/2, Extension Cables, Edirol Roland, Magenta, and Endoscopes.

Procedure for servicing and repairs

In the first instance please contact our support team by email (support@wildcare.co.uk) or phone (01451 833181) to discuss your requirements and to obtain a returns number. We cannot accept items that do not have a returns number.

If you would like us to collect your units we can do so for £20 +VAT per collection (not per item); otherwise you will need to arrange for them to be sent to our main Longborough address. Please ensure your unique return number is included in or on the package.

Once your units come in to our service centre, our engineer will assess your goods. All items except total replacement of the motherboard, daughter card or microphone element are included in our standard prices. If your repair requires one of these replacements a quotation will be sent for approval before we proceed with the work.

Once the goods are repaired, the engineer’s report will be emailed to you and your goods despatched. The cost of return shipping is £10.95 +VAT per shipment (not per item).

 IN-WARRANTY REPAIRS:

  • Wildcare are only authorised to perform in-warranty repairs on Wildlife Acoustics equipment.
  • We can liaise with other manufacturers on your behalf to determine the best course of action, but we cannot repair units free of charge.
  • All in-warranty issues will need authorisation from the relevant manufacturer before any item is sent back to us.
  • Further authorisation is usually required before anything can be repaired or replaced.
